I prepare and submit apostille requests for personal, educational, business and federal documents from all 50 states. Every document is reviewed before it's submitted, so it isn't rejected and sent back.

An apostille is a certificate attached to a U.S. public document that verifies the signature and seal on it. Countries that joined the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention accept that single certificate instead of a longer chain of embassy legalization.
In short: the apostille tells a foreign government that your document is authentic.
The office that issues your apostille depends on who signed your document. I'll figure out which one you need during your free review.
For documents signed by a Virginia official or notary. Issued by the Virginia Secretary of the Commonwealth.
Every state issues apostilles only for its own documents. I submit yours to the correct Secretary of State, in any of the 50 states.
For FBI background checks, IRS certificates and other federal records. Issued by the U.S. Department of State.
I currently work with Hague Convention countries only and am not handling embassy legalizations at this time.
If your destination belongs to the Hague Apostille Convention, a single apostille is all your document needs. Check the list before you order.
Vital records and personal documents for residency and relocation.
Diplomas, transcripts and background checks for schools and employers.
Single-status affidavits and certificates for a destination wedding.
Company records for foreign banks, partners and registrations.
Adoption records, custody orders and powers of attorney.
Background checks, degrees and licenses for international jobs.
The office that issues your apostille depends on who signed your document. I'll figure out which one you need during your free review.
Send me a photo of your document and tell me the destination country.
I check that your document is in the right form and confirm your price in writing.
Once you mail me your original, I submit it to the correct government office.
Your apostilled document is shipped back to you with tracking.
Does your document need to be notarized before it can be apostilled? For apostille clients, I offer in-person notarization by appointment in Bristol and Abingdon, VA. You can also have it notarized locally and mail it to me. Check with me first, so it's done in the right form.

Every State and Federal apostille is a flat rate that includes your document review, preparation, submission to the correct office, agency fees, and standard tracked return shipping within the U.S.
I confirm your price in writing after your free review, before you pay or ship anything. Processing times are set by the issuing government office and can't be guaranteed, but I'll give you a realistic estimate when I review your document.
Have more than one document from the same state? Your first document is the full flat rate, and each additional document from that state is a reduced rate.
Documents from different states are separate orders, because each state issues apostilles only for its own documents.
Federal documents work the same way: they all go to the U.S. Department of State, so additional federal documents in the same order are at the reduced rate.
Some countries require a translation in addition to the apostille. Order a certified translation with your apostille. Please confirm the receiving agency's requirements first, including whether the translation must be notarized or apostilled.
Standard tracked shipping is included. Overnight and 2-day shipping are available as add-ons. Faster shipping shortens transit time only; government processing times are not guaranteed.
I can ship your completed documents directly to an address outside the U.S. Quoted per order.
For federal apostilles only. Your documents are hand-delivered to the U.S. Department of State, which typically cuts federal processing time in half. One courier fee covers your whole federal order, no matter how many documents it includes.
Confirm your requirements with the receiving agency, then send me a photo of your document. I'll review it for free and confirm your price in writing.
